13/10/2007 - Well Done 'Iron' Emily!

CTC member Emily Farrell has today competed in and finished the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.  Emily completed the 2.4 mi. swim, 112 mi. bike, 26.2 mi. run  in 12:24:52. Congratulations to Emily from all at the Club back in the UK.

29/07/07 - Trentham Events - Sprint & Big Half

John Hartshon competed in the Big Half and managed to finish in an impressive 7hrs 5 minutes.  Well done John.

Anna Bocklehurst and Paul Jarvis competed in the Sprint event with Anna winning her age group race and "a ton of Gatorade".

08/07/07 - Bournemouth Triathlon

Tim McLean continued taking advantage of the different types of events that British Triathlon offers before his return to Canada later this year by competing in the sea swim at Bournemouth.  Despite leaking googles, Tim posted a respectible time in an enjoyable race.

01/07/07 - East Leake Sprint Triathlon

There were two entrants at East Leake from the Club and both had excellent results. Wendy Lockton finished 1st in her age group and 2nd overall and Jonathon Riall finished 3rd in his age group and 3rd overall.

01/07/07 - Terrapin Sprint Triathlon


A very wet day at Market Bosworth started with an extremely cold open water swim followed by a 23km bike and a 5km run which was described as a "5km paddle" by one competitor due to the fact that most of the run course was under surface water!  Another set of excellent results with Steve Tampin finishing 4th in his age group and 6th overall, John Hartshorn finishing 4th in his age group and 104th overall and Anna Brocklehurst finishing 4th in her age group and 161st overall.

01/07/07 - Prestwold Hall 10km

Mark Couldwell finished 4th overall in 33:09 and Carl Shaw finished 58th in 40:25.  

There were 375 runners in this race.  Good job guys!

17/06/07 - Mansfield Sprint Triathlon

Despite the threat of showers, the Mansfield Triathlon was held under ideal race conditions - warm but overcast - and the event was very fast due to the short bike course (optomistically listed as 18km but nearer 16km).  

Mark Townsend had an excellent race with a fifteen place overall and third in his age category.  Becky Krych followed up her excellent Leicester result with a superb age category second in a much larger field.  Paul Jarvis & Anna Brocklehurst also had good finishes.

Once again, an excellent performance from Charnwood member Mark Couldwell,  who races for the TFN 2XU Team, with first place.

03/06/07 - Bala Middle Distance

Club member, Mark Couldwell, who races for the TFN 2XU Team, had an excellent event last Sunday in the very challenging Bala Middle Distance in North Wales.  Mark achieved an excellent fifth in one of the top ten most challenging UK Triathlons.

05/05/07 - Southwell Sprint Results

The first race of the season saw the Triathlon Club debut of Charnwood Triathlon Club in Nottinghamshire.  In all twelve members competed in our first event achieving some excellent results and times.

22/04/07 - Charnwood Aquathon Results
