Charnwood Triathlon Club awarded Club Mark
We are delighted to announce that
Charnwood Triathlon Club have been Club Mark accredited by British
Triathlon
Clubmark is a Sport England accreditation scheme that is awarded to
clubs that comply with minimum operating standards in four areas:
1. The playing programme
2. Duty of care and child protection
3. Sports equity and ethics
4. Club management
Charnwood Triathlon Club has proved to their governing body, British
Triathlon, and to Sport England that they qualify to be recognized as a
safe, child friendly and efficient club for the
community. Clubmark is a cross-sport quality
accreditation for clubs with junior sections. It was introduced in 2002
to ensure that consistent good practice is delivered through all clubs
and to ensure the well-being of young people whilst in sport club
environments. The achievement of the kite-mark standard demonstrates
the club's commitment to providing a quality and fun environment for
young people, whilst also assuring parents and carers of having
recognised standards of child protection, coaching, equity and good
management.
